As Lutherans, we baptize people of all ages - including infants . We do so because we believe God is the primary actor in the sacrament of baptism, and that God through baptism connects us to life, death and resurrection through Jesus; makes us apart of God's family, the church; and calls us into a life of discipleship.
We try to schedule baptisms for the 3rd of 5th Sunday(s) of the month, but will accommodate family schedules so that baptismal sponsors and family members can be present for the baptism.
The presiding Pastor will meet with the parents and/ or the individual being baptized prior to the baptism to review the service and to discuss our Lutheran understanding of baptism.
Baptisms, except of emergencies, are celebrated during Sunday morning worship.
